Women's Empowerment Drumming Workshop
-Finding your rhythm-
Before the drum was created in Africa, women created rhythm while they worked to pass the time more joyfully. Come and experience the joy of drumming and acknowledge your primordial rhythmic roots. In this workshop Liz will teach the fundamental techniques of West African djembe and dunnun drums, while presenting the history and cultural behind the original meaning and purpose of drumming.
Typical Workshop lasts three hours. Djembe and Dunun drums provided if needed. Women ages 13 years and up welcome.
